Three-Peat! State Champions Again

Congrats to the 2018 – 2019 Lady Warriors Basketball team for winning the Missouri Christian School Athletic Association Class 2 state championship! Over the course of three days, the Lady Warriors matched up against schools from across the Midwest, and brought home the trophy for the third consecutive year. In addition to the Class 2 trophy, team members Aviyon Williams and Kennedi Rowland, both Freshmen, were named first team, All-State.

Led by head coach Risa Williams, the Lady Warriors put together a solid 16-5 season this year. In addition to the MCSAA title, the girls also placed second in the Metro Christian Athletic Association (KC and Topeka area schools) tournament. Kennedi Rowland and Aviyon Williams received first team All-Conference honors, and Nia Smith received honorable mention All-Conference.

Boys Basketball
The Warrior basketball team ended their MCSAA state tournament with a win in the consolation bracket, as well as winning the consolation bracket of the conference tournament. Senior Derek De Jong was named first team All-State and second team All-Conference. Freshman Tucker Rafferty received second-team All-State honors and honorable mention All-Conference.
